Grand Reopening of the Bosch Karlsruhe Truck Parking Lot After Extensive Modernization in Early 2027

The Bosch Karlsruhe site was the very first parking location in the Bosch Secure Truck Parking network when it opened in 2016. The site is currently closed until the end of 2026 while it is being completely rebuilt into a premier secure truck stop. During the construction period, we recommend using the Messe Karlsruhe site as an alternative.

Highlights of the site

42 Secure Pitches

Experience maximum peace of mind. The entire premises are fully fenced, equipped with video surveillance (CCTV), and connected directly to the 24/7 Bosch Monitoring Center for proactive security tracking.

12 High-Power EV Charging Points

Future-proof your fleet. Dynamic mid-lane charging infrastructure (FlexMPS) supports fast-charging and overnight charging windows tailored to your truck's battery.

Optimized Site Access

Zero delays, zero damage. The redesigned site features completely separate truck lanes and simplified entry/exit gates engineered for effortless, hazard-free access—restricted exclusively to authorized users.

Prime Transit Proximity

Keep your transit times tight. Karlsruhe Truck Stop #1 is located less than 3 km from the main highway, eliminating stressful detours and routing delays.

Seamless Digital Reservation

Eliminate parking search stress. View real-time availability and instantly reserve your exact parking spot or charging window via the Bosch Road Services portal.

Driver Facilities

Give your drivers the comfort they deserve. A brand-new, modern sanitary building provides clean, private toilets and high-quality showers.

Alternative parking: Messe Karlsruhe

During the redevelopment period, secure truck parking is available at the adjacent Messe Karlsruhe site during the following periods: 01 September – 13 September 2026 and 24 September – 31 December 2026. Please note that availability may change due to event schedules and operational requirements. We therefore recommend checking availability before planning your stop.

What does the SteP funding mean in connection with the Karlsruhe site?

The expansion of the Karlsruhe location is supported under the SteP funding program. SteP stands for the funding of secure and modern truck parking spaces in Germany. The goal of the program is to improve road freight transport infrastructure and provide drivers with more secure parking options. We would like to thank the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport (BMDV) for supporting this project.

What is Megawatt Charging?

Megawatt Charging (MCS, Megawatt Charging System) is the next generation of fast charging for commercial electric vehicles. This technology enables significantly higher charging capacities than current standards, substantially reducing charging times for electric trucks. The future deployment of Megawatt Charging is planned for the Karlsruhe site to meet the growing demands of electric mobility in freight transport.
